The Davenport exit (once known as the Baseball City
exit) is approximately 3 miles West of Champions Gate, 10 miles from
Disneyworld, 28 miles West of down town Orlando and 25 miles East of
Lakeland, making it a bedroom community of both cities. Davenport is the
fastest growing city in Polk County.
US-27 has been widened to six lanes to accept the heavy
traffic from Haines City to the South and Clermont to the North, as well
